A Pandemic
COVID-19 upended lives and forced many people to skip routine activities, including annual health screenings and regular check-ups, which led to increased hospitalizations and emergency room visits.
To overcome that trend, we launched digital campaigns, including text and email reminders, to bring patients back to care. We added online scheduling and phone and video appointments for non-urgent consultations, routine check-ups, and medication refills.
We recognize that in-person visits are usually best for those with chronic conditions that require regular monitoring. But the virtual consultations helped us reach tens of thousands of patients who did not need to be physically present but did need to visit a doctor.
