Name
Grady renamed its cardiac center the Grady Heart and Vascular Center, reflecting the health system’s commitment to expanding its cardiovascular services to meet the community’s needs.
Grady also was the first institution in Georgia to implement robotic technology to help surgeons perform coronary interventions. This technology, along with expanded cardiac testing space and a hybrid operating room, improves care for heart and vascular patients.
For these and other reasons, Grady received the 2021 American Heart Association’s Gold Plus Get With The Guidelines — Heart Failure Quality Achievement Award.
The Heart and Vascular Center delivers care that is a model for heart failure care across the United States. Grady partnered with the Centers for Disease Control to create a practitioner’s guide based on our protocols.
